Winter Skincare: Pure Altitude Nourishing Outdoor Cream
This nourishing cream for the face and body is by French skincare brand Pure Altitude (English version available by clicking the little flag). Pure Altitude uses the soothing benefits of mountain plants in their products.
The Crème Bol d'Air Pur is an antioxidant cold cream, providing a hydrating layer for the skin while at the same time protecting it from the elements.
The texture is beautifully thick, melting into the skin upon application. It has been an absolute godsend for me this winter, with a Christmas cold that just won't shift! My sore, red nose is soothed and given a little relief from the sniffles.
As you can see from the list up there ^, the cream contains anti-inflammatory arnica to reduce redness and regenerate, as well as several vitamin E-rich vegetable oils to keep the skin hydrated. It's also free from silicon and mineral oil - which are both completely useless in skincare products!
This is perfect if you spend a lot of time outdoors - particularly if you're sporty - to protect your skin from the elements. It provides some defense from the sun, but certainly won't replace an SPF.
Crème Bol d'Air Pur is available online for 26 euros and is shipped to most countries, but a money-saving alternative would be the established favourite Nivea Crème, available in the UK for £1.49 at Boots.
